CEX Halt / Resume
proTrading-status flips on Bybit perps — halts and resumes that can precede sharp moves.
What it is
A Bybit BTC, ETH, or SOL perpetual flips trading status — either halting (leaving "Trading", freezing the book) or resuming (matching restarts).
Why it matters
Halts cluster around extreme volatility, liquidation cascades, and technical incidents — exactly when a frozen book leaves you unable to react. A resume can reopen at a sharply different price than where trading stopped.
How to read the alert
A halt on a pair you hold means the book is frozen — manage risk on correlated venues instead of waiting blind. A resume means matching is live again, often after a sharp move — check your open orders before the reopened book runs against them.
