What it is

The funding rate on a BTC or ETH perpetual splits by at least 0.02% (2 basis points) between the richest and cheapest of three venues — Bybit, OKX, and KuCoin.

Why it matters

Every major venue runs the same funding mechanism on the same underlying, so their rates usually track closely. When they diverge, positioning has gone lopsided on one book relative to another — a real dislocation, not routine noise.

How to read the alert

Check which venue is rich and which is cheap, then weigh whether the spread covers both legs' fees before acting on the basis. This is informational, not a guaranteed edge — execution, fees, and timing are on you.
