Big DEX Swaps

What it is

A single swap of $500,000 or more clears on one of the highest-volume DEX pools on Ethereum or Base — a whale-sized trade big enough to move more than a retail order book.

Why it matters

A trade that size is a deliberate act by someone with real capital and conviction. It can mark smart-money positioning — or an exit — before any of it shows up on the price chart. Stablecoin-to-stablecoin pools are excluded since those swaps are usually just treasury rebalancing, not a directional bet.

How to read the alert

Watch direction and size together: a single big sell into a pair you hold is worth checking, not panicking over. A cluster of large buys into the same pool in a short window often front-runs a move the chart hasn't priced in yet.
